Our breeding program is very small and I breed only to keep a puppy out of a certain cross.

I aim for the best match I can find each time, looking to produce dogs with strong working abilities, good temperaments, sound structure and genetic health. Some specific working traits I look for in a dog are:

	precise balance
	rating ability
	stock sense
	willing to bite cattle when needed
	quiet
	calm, serious, intense attitude
	keeps stock grouped and doesn�t leave any behind
	some standing (Aussie) eye
	some natural distance from stock, especially being able to run wide to catch escaping stock rather than falling in behind them
	bidability
